So far this winter we have been lucky, I suppose the lack of snow qualifies as “lucky”. Granted the cold seems to be approaching and it is only a matter of time before the white stuff falls upon us.

Wall-E

Harry Potter 7 is out and I still haven’t seen it.

I did read the book though, so don’t bother trying to spoil it for me. If anything, I’ll spoil it for you!

Where did all the time go? Do I really have to start my Xmas shopping now? Please tell me I don’t and I’ll believe you (or pretend to.)

Today, someone at work brought up the fact that the idea behind chairs having wheels on them only came about recently – relative to earths age. That got me thinking to how far we’ve advanced in the past hundred years or so.

The first car came out around 1908, that means in the last 102 years we’ve managed to go from nothing to the current vehicle.  We’ve managed to go from no electronic computer devices to iPhones and iPads.

The internet happened.

We’ve gone from knowing nothing about most diseases, let alone a cure for them.  Now we have a firm grasp on most diseases out there, working closer and closer every day for cures to all of them.

T.V.

The world was a completely different place 100 years ago, which makes me wonder, what will it be like in 100 years from now. Obviously I won’t be around to witness 2110, but I would be ever so curious to see what advancements the human race can achieve (if we don’t blow ourselves up first).

First off, well my birthday, duh. It’s December 12th, I’m turning **#*$## years old and i’m not looking forward to being “that” much closer to 30.  Feel free to give me stuff though, I’ll be sure to remind you again as the date gets closer so you don’t forget. Don’t worry, I got you covered.

Second, I guess Christmas. I’ve never been one to get all up with the Christmas fever. Sure, I like the holidays and all that stuff, but you won’t see me dawning any multi-colour sweatshirts, standing around a fire drinking eggnog.

Christmas break, simply nothing to do with Christmas really, but I get a week off of work for the holidays and I’m happy about that. It does kind of burn us that Christmas and Boxing Day fall on a Sat/Sun. Hell, speaking of which, my birthday is on a Sunday this year. What the hell crap is that?

Did you honestly think this was a no complaint post?  Pffffttt, yeah right.

First would be a continuation from 2009, but regardless, I was able to do a school placement within the City of Toronto’s Social Services. It was a very eye-opening experience for me and gave me a great insight into how things work on the inside. From an experience point of view, it was probably the best placement possible, from a hand’s on perspective though, not really the greatest choice – lots of paper work and little client time.

Continuing along the school path lead to graduating from college, another milestone in 2010 for me. If you had known me in high school, you’d know that college seemed like an impossible feat. Not because I’m stoooopid, but simply cause I can’t be bothered to train my short attention span. Anyways, I did manage to focus long enough to graduate with honours from school, now I get to repay OSAP for all the lovely donations they gave me. Thanks!

Unemployment! 

Skip ahead 5 months of that fun time…

Employment!

I must say that if I had to choose between being bored all day, having no money and mooching off of people or working, having money and buying other people stuff, I certainly choose the 2nd option. Granted #1 on my list of things to buy is paying off debt, it’s still 100% more productive than sitting around not working.

There have been a few more personal milestones as well that I’ll go without mentioning simply because I don’t like you in that way, but there is one more that I might as well mention.

2010 has marked the first year (presumably in my whole life, but years 1 – 5 I can’t be certain) that I’ve gone with a healthy approach to life. I’ve exercised regularly and more importantly I’ve eaten healthy. Now when I say healthy I don’t just mean a salad every once in a while, I mean full-out drastic life changing diet. No soda, no candy, no chips, no fast food, no deep-fried ___ , no ice cream – well you get the picture. Being that this is the 11th month of this process for me and I don’t even really think about it anymore, I really have no doubt that I’ll be able to finish the year off rather easily. It just proves that “willpower” is simply non-existent. What I mean is that you don’t have to have “lots” of willpower to say, change your diet or quit smoking or exercise more – you simply just have to have the desire to make a change. Think of it as one of those “do, or do not” examples. 

That essentially sums up the major moments of 2010 for me, for the small amount of them, it sure felt like the busiest year of my life.

Personally I can’t begin to imagine what life must of been like for the soldiers that fought for us back then (and those that currently do so).  While today’s soldiers are fighting for a different cause and against a very different enemy, the reality of war remains the same. Unfortunately that reality is very grim for some and while others make it home, those who don’t will never go forgotten.

First – new theme, you like? I pondered over a few all night and decided this one is going to be the last theme change at least until the new year. I’m way to neurotic about this crap, really I need to lay off the theme changes.

Lack of blogs, yes, well as a result of not having any free time – sadly my blogging has begun to suffer.  Forgive me?

Vampires – according to WordPress a whole crap load of people have been viewing my blog from the search word Vampires. Go figure, I’m not even a vampire, but don’t tell anyone.

Lastly, Team Coco is back – on TBS. For us living up North, you know, in Canada – it sucks just a little that they decided to carry Conan on CTV and air it at 1am, Midnight on Comedy Network but I don’t get that channel (great!). Seriously who cares if they have to push the Daily Show and Stephen Colbert back an hour to run Conan at 11:30 or 12, as if they were any competition to him. 4.2 Million viewers on his debut? I really hope NBC has a chance to catch each episode and wallow in all that they decided to essentially pay TBS to take.

I’m not even looking to see when the last post made on here was, but I’m going to guess at least a few weeks ago.  What can I say, I’ve been more busy that I ever would have imagined. It’s good though, cause it kind of makes paying the bills easier with an income, though I did dislocate my shoulder two-weeks ago (that sucked.)

Anyways, with October over in a few hours, that leaves just November to separate the busiest month of the year for me. December, for whatever reason over the past 10 years of my life has been ridiculously busy. It’s full of Birthday’s (mine included), Anniversaries, Christmas, etc.. It never seems to end. For the past two years, while I’ve been in school – it’s been more of a “so you want a paper airplane?” kind of dead, but this year I might actually  be able to afford those fancy gifts for everyone. Maybe not, maybe I’ll just make a donation to the Human Fund on everyone’s behalf.

This blog post is so short, especially after being away for so long – but it’s late and Dexter is about to start. Everyone have a great Halloween and keep those slutty nurses outfits out in the open, I hear this year the less you wear the better. Perhaps that just how it is now, everyone on TV does it, so why not everyone in real life. If I ever have a daughter, I’m making her go as a deep-sea diver each year, huge metal suit and complete head mask included.

Where does the time go? Seriously, I swear summer flew by this year much faster than last year. I suppose thats what unemployment does to people though, makes time become irrelevant.

However, I am no longer unemployed.

The magic of job searching has finally paid off, literally. Unfortunately, the blogging time suffers as a result, though once I get a little more comfortable with my new routine, I’m bound to be back to writing useless readings on here as per the usual.

So hang in there, I miss you all so much.

Depending on which feature you use, Google Maps offers a satellite view or a street-level view of tons of locations around the world. You can look up landmarks like the Pyramids of Egypt or the Great Wall of China, as well as more personal places, like your ex’s house. But for all of the places that Google Maps allows you to see, there are plenty of places that are off-limits. Whether it’s due to government restrictions, personal-privacy lawsuits or mistakes, Google Maps has slapped a “Prohibited” sign on the following 51 places.

My personal favourite is #20: Europe.

Without reading the reason as to why you can’t see #20, it is rather funny.

“Cool! Any problems?”

“Doesn’t seem to show Europe.”

It’s probably because I’m over tired and wired on caffeine at the moment, but that is funny to me.

“With What?” You ask.

Well, with blogging, obviously.

“Why Not?” You reply.

Because I’ve been busy, busy with some super things that I can’t mention.

Notice how important things become if you propose them in that way? I do.

I may not may not be employed, I’m not 100% sure at this point in time.

If I am employed, it’s a weight off of the shoulders. Let’s face it, they were crumbling far too fast for a 26-year-old.

TIFF is in town, I had secretly set a goal this year to avoid it the same as every other year. So far so good.

The vast majority of everything else that has been occupying my time is very boring and redundant for blogging. However important it may be.
